Segment AB is parallel to the y-axis with point A on the graph of g(x)=x² and point B on the graph of f(x)=4. Further, point B is only in the interior of the parabola.
1) What would be the x-coordinate of point A so that AB = 1.2?
2) Let the x-coordinate of point A be represented the variable n. Write a function, h(n), for the length of segment AB. What is the domain and range of h(n)?
3) Suppose that the graph of f(x) was moved up 3 units and the graph of g(x) was moved to the left 3 units. How would the function you wrote above, h(n), change?
